Tallahassee International Film Festival – by Jeanne Curtin

The Tallahassee International Film Festival will be a multiple day event designed to showcase the region’s established and up-and-coming directors, writers, producers, cinematographers, visual effects professionals, actors, and all other professionals associated with the film industry, and attract filmmakers of international calibre.

Our goal is to make this a world renowned destination event!  We are going to leverage existing organizations and capitalize on our home-grown talent, as well as attract visitors to the Big Bend region.  The Tallahassee International Film Festival will be a great way to introduce visitors to the many assets of our region, while at the same time supporting and promoting artistic development.

The immediate steps that the team will be taking include:  collaborating with established film festivals; contacting community partners to host a brainstorm session with key organizations; and, setting a firm date for the event to commence in 2008!

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity.  We need other catalysts who can help us coordinate, promote, and build support for the Tallahassee International Film Festival.  If you are interested in helping create the Tallahassee International Film Festival, please do not hesitate to contact our team at kccitallahassee@gmail.com.
